Weight Management Programs
Overweight and obesity affect the majority of Canadians. It is also the main cause of many serious chronic diseases including Type 2 Diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure. Diets and restrictive eating patterns are short-term strategies to lose weight but rarely are individuals able to keep the weight off.
The Healthy Weight Solutions program is based on scientifically-proven approaches to weight loss. The program will guide you using effective teaching tools and resources that will empower you to understand food, nutrition, weight and your health. Filomena is a licensed Craving ChangeTM facilitator and incorporates cognitive behavioural strategies to address the many causes of overeating – namely, emotional triggers. She has also received her Level 1 Adult Obesity Training from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in the US. She has participated in Canadian Obesity Network professional retreat on obesity.
The Healthy Weight Solutions program is not a “quick fix” to losing weight. Rather, it is a balanced approach to assisting you towards a healthier weight by guiding you to understand the barriers, incorporate effective strategies, and sustain dietary and lifestyle changes for life.
Varying length of programs are available including 3, 6, and 12 month durations
